A high-performing, inclusive Secondary School in the London Borough of Newham is offering an exceptional opportunity for a talented graduate to gain hands-on classroom experience in a structured and supportive environment.

This full-time, term-time only position starts ASAP and is ideal for an Oxbridge graduate eager to build classroom experience before progressing onto teacher training (Schools Direct, PGCE, or salaried routes).

ROLE SUMMARY

• Support a specialist subject department (English, Maths, Science, Humanities, MFL, etc.)

• Work with pupils across KS3-KS5, delivering targeted interventions and enrichment activities

• Provide 1:1 support to SEN students, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their potential

• Assist teachers in delivering engaging, high-quality lessons

• Receive structured training, mentoring, and CPD throughout the year

• Play an active role in promoting academic excellence and student wellbeing

SALARY & START

• £22,000 – £26,000 per annum (term-time only)

• Full-time | September 2025 – July 2026

• Potential to progress into a teacher training role from September 2026

PERSON SPECIFICATION

• 2:1 or First-Class Degree from Oxford or Cambridge University

• Excellent academic background (AAA at A-Level or equivalent)

• Strong subject knowledge and intellectual curiosity

• Confident communicator with a passion for learning

• Empathetic, patient, and motivated to make a difference

• Genuine commitment to a career in teaching
