A specialist SEN school in Tower Hamlets is searching for a passionate and enthusiastic Music Teacher to join their team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Music in a highly supportive setting, working with pupils who benefit from creative, sensory and practical learning experiences.

The school is looking for a teacher who can bring Music to life, helping pupils build confidence, communication, engagement and independence through carefully adapted lessons.

The Role

  • Deliver Music lessons across a specialist SEN provision
  • Create accessible and enjoyable lessons for pupils with additional needs
  • Use practical, sensory and creative approaches to support engagement
  • Support pupils' communication, confidence and emotional development
  • Work collaboratively with Teachers, TAs, therapists and wider support staff
  • Contribute to a broad, creative and inclusive curriculum
  • Help pupils develop a love of Music in a safe and supportive environment

The Ideal Candidate

  • UK QTS
  • A strong Music teaching background
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs, or a strong interest in SEN
  • A patient, flexible and creative approach
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to adapt lessons to different learning needs
  • A genuine commitment to helping every pupil achieve

This role would suit either an experienced SEN Music Teacher or a mainstream Music Teacher looking to transition into a specialist SEN setting.
