In the heart of Newham, a school rated 'Outstanding' in its latest Ofsted report is looking for a Teacher of Chemistry / Science Teacher to begin September 2026. This is a permanent, full‑time role.

The Head Teacher seeks an ambitious teacher who is eager to add value to an expanding Science Department and who can work within a supportive Senior Leadership Team and in line with the school's impressive Progress 8 outcomes.

Experienced Science Teachers will have the opportunity to take on a Teacher Leadership Role (TLR) such as KS3 Coordinator and Pastoral responsibilities. Early Careers Teachers (ECTs) will be enrolled onto the school's bespoke induction programme and will work alongside both young and experienced Science Teachers.

MPS1-UPS3 – £39,571 – £59,135 + TLR (size depending on experience)

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining it
  • Strong academic background across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Must meet the 8 Teaching Standards at a ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ level
  • Must be able to work as part of a large team of Science Teachers
  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
