This excellent secondary school in Waltham Forest is in the top 1% for their Science results and is seeking a Science Teaching Assistant to join their team. This particular role comes with the opportunity to train throughout the year as a Science Teacher.

You will be supporting classes across KS3, KS4 and KS5 as well as running small intervention groups similar to tutoring and offering some 1:1 support with students. This is a full-time position, term time only, contracted until the end of this academic year. Candidates who are interested in becoming fully qualified teachers have the opportunity to return in September 2026 as a Trainee Science Teacher receiving a higher salary or a tax-free bursary of £29,000 whilst you gain Qualified Teacher Status!

Person Specification
  • Must have a 1 Class or 2:1 degree in Science from a reputable University
  • Good A Levels & GCSEs across the board
  • Must be confident within your ability and knowledge of the KS3 & KS4 curriculum content
  • You must be able to engage and motivate the students
  • Commitment and ambition to succeed is key throughout!
