Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT – History, RE & Geography

An \’Outstanding\’ and supportive secondary school in the Borough of Enfield is seeking a Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT for a January 2026 start. This is a full-time and permanent post.

The current Humanities Head of Department has helped the department grow, with a mix of experienced teachers, Teach First Teachers and Humanities graduate Teaching Assistants supporting attainment across KS3, KS4 and KS5.

The school has produced strong Progress 8 results across KS3, KS4 and KS5 and offers a creative learning environment.

Experienced Humanities Teachers may take on a TLR such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibilities and more. Newly Qualified Humanities Teachers (ECT) will be enrolled onto the school’s bespoke ECT induction and will work alongside a range of teachers.

  • Inspiring and motivating the younger generation

  • ECTs welcome: 1:1 Mentor, bespoke ECT induction, in- and out-of-house training and more
  • January 2026 – Full Time & Permanent
  • MPS1-UPS3 + TLR (size depending on experience)
  • Located in the Borough of Enfield

Person Specification

  • Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
  • Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Must meet the 8 Teaching Standards to a \’Good\’ or \’Outstanding\’ level
  • You must be able to work as part of a large team of Humanities Teachers
  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
