In the heart of Havering, an 'Outstanding' Secondary School is looking for a Geography Teacher / Geography ECT to start September 2026. This is a permanent, full‑time contract. The Head Teacher seeks an ambitious Geography Teacher / Geography ECT who is keen to add value to an expanding Geography Department. The School offers supportive SLT and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

Experienced Geography Teachers may take on TLR roles such as KS3 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibility. Newly qualified Geography Teachers (ECT) will be enrolled in the school’s bespoke ECT induction and work alongside a range of young and experienced Geography Teachers.

Person Specification

  • Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
  • Strong academics across the board - Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good' or 'Outstanding' level
  • You must be able to work as part of a large team of Geography Teachers
  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
