In the heart of Havering, an 'Outstanding' Secondary School is on the hunt for a Geography Teacher / Geography ECT for a September 2026 start. This is a permanent, full-time contract.

The Head Teacher is looking for an ambitious Geography Teacher / Geography ECT who is keen to add value to an expanding Geography Department. The School is renowned for their supportive SLT and impressive Progress 8 results across all subjects.

The School is well invested in the Education sector, setting new teaching practices, as well as training their own and new staff. It's an exciting time at the School!

Experienced Geography Teachers can take on a TLR such as KS3 Coordinator, Pastoral Responsibility and more. Newly Qualified Geography Teachers (ECT) will be enrolled onto the School's bespoke ECT induction, as well as work alongside a range of young and experienced Geography Teachers.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Inspiring and motivating the younger generation
  • Working alongside a team of fantastic Geography Teachers
  • TLR Opportunities: KS3 Coordinator and Pastoral Responsibilities
  • ECTs welcome: 1:1 Mentor, bespoke ECT induction, in and out of house training and more
  • September 2026 - Full Time & Permanent
  • MPS1-UPS3 - £39,571 - £59,135 + TLR (Size depending on experience)
  • Located in the Borough of Havering

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Must have UK QTS or be in the process of gaining
  • Strong academics across the board - Degree, A Levels and GCSEs
  • Must be meeting the 8 Teaching Standards to a 'Good or Outstanding' level
  • You must be able to work as part of a large team of Geography Teachers
  • Must be willing to listen to feedback
