An 'Outstanding' secondary school in the Borough of Croydon seeks a Humanities Teacher / Humanities ECT for a September start. This is a full‑time, permanent post. The Humanities Head of Department has led a diverse team, including experienced teachers, graduate teaching assistants and new graduates, driving strong KS3–KS5 attainment. Experienced Humanities Teachers may take on TLR roles such as KS3 & KS4 Coordinator and Pastoral responsibilities. Newly qualified teachers (ECTs) will be supported through bespoke induction, 1:1 mentorship and in‑house training.
Job Description
- Teach History, Religious Education and Geography across KS3, KS4 & KS5.
- Inspire and motivate students.
- Collaborate with a team of Humanities teachers.
- Work toward TLR opportunities (KS3 & KS4 Coordinator, Pastoral responsibilities).
- Participate in continued professional development and training.
Person Specification
- UK QTS or in the process of gaining.
- Strong academic record (Degree, A Levels and GCSEs).
