Job Description

Unqualified English Teacher – Hounslow

A popular, community driven secondary school in Hounslow are searching for an Unqualified English Teacher to join them in January or sooner. This position will involve teaching English lessons, gradually increasing to between 5 & 10 lessons per week, as well as covering independent study sessions too.

As an Unqualified English Teacher, you will be teaching across Years 10, 11, 12 and 13, all of which benefit from small class sizes of 10 maximum. The school has state-of-the-art facilities and classrooms, as well as a strong, inspirational leadership team.

This Unqualified English Teacher position is suited to an English Graduate with confidence an some transferrable experience, i.e tutoring, or even group control with children in another setting i.e sports.

There will be the opportunity to gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) if you are keen to pursue teacher training.

Job Spec – Unqualified English Teacher

  • Unqualified English Teacher
  • Covering English lessons, as well as sixth form independent study
  • Teaching and covering Year 10 to Year 13
  • Full time, long-term position
  • ASAP or January start
  • £120 – £150 per day, DoE

Candidate Spec – Unqualified English Teacher

  • Bright graduate with a 2:1 or 1st class degree
  • Ideally an English graduate, or at least English A Levels.
  • Personable, confident and able to form strong professional relationships
  • Excellent spoken and written English is essential
  • Able to commit 5 days per week
