Overview
A brilliant Secondary School in the borough of Tower Hamlets is looking for a Maths Academic mentor to join the Maths department. The role offers potential progression within the department and an opportunity after a full academic year to enrol on a Salaried Teacher Training Course commencing September 2026.
Responsibilities
- Lead small intervention groups and 1:1 sessions (including GCSE and A Level).
- Assist within the classroom with general teaching assistant duties.
- Support pupils with SEN in the classroom.
- Work as part of a wider Maths department team.
Qualifications
- 1st class or 2:1 graduate in Maths/Kindred Degree.
- Confident in Maths knowledge.
- Ability in a specialist subject to lead and support pupils’ progress.
- Strong communication skills to aid class teachers with pupil progress.
