Overview
Academic Support Assistant position based in a secondary school in Islington. You will work alongside Subject Teachers to aid in students\’ academic progress, supporting 1:1 and small-group sessions, and helping create structured learning resources. This role offers in-class and out-of-class experience with potential teacher training opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Work with students across KS3, KS4 & KS5
- Provide regular feedback to Teachers following interventions
- Support students in 1:1 and small group sessions
- Lead structured academic interventions in core subjects (Maths, English & Science)
- Participate in ASAP start and full-time schedule
- Based in Islington
Qualifications
- Hold a 1st Class or 2:1 Degree from a reputable University
- Confident in knowledge of core subjects (Maths, English & Science)
- Passion for the curriculum and supporting young people
- Previous experience working with young people (Tutoring, Mentoring, etc.)
- Ability to work collaboratively in a wider team
