1:1 Learning Support Assistant - Independent Primary School

Overview

1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Independent Primary School (Camden). This is a full-time role from September 2025, working closely with a Year 1 pupil who requires additional support. The school caters for pupils aged 2-16 across two sites and is located in the leafy Borough of Camden.

This is an opportunity for an energetic, compassionate, and patient individual with experience supporting children who have communication challenges.

Responsibilities

• 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with communication needs
• Work closely during lessons and targeted interventions
• Exposure to on-site speech therapy and occupational therapy sessions
• Full-time, long-term role with potential for permanency
• Located in the Borough of Camden

Person Specification

• Energetic, compassionate, and patient
• Experience supporting children with communication challenges (MUST)
• Understanding of adaptive technologies to aid communication and learning
• Ability to build a positive relationship with a pre-verbal child who has a good sense of humor
• Team-player with a proactive approach to supporting class learning
