Frontline Technical Support Engineer (Shifts)
Location: Swindon, Wiltshire
Team: Service Operations
Schedule: Shift patterns
Salary: From £27, % Shift Allowance + 5% Annual Bonus (£32,500 OTE)

As a Frontline Technical Support Engineer, you\’ll be the first responder when systems blink, alerts fire, or incidents arise. Whether you\’re diving into logs, restoring services, or preventing outages before they happen – you\’re not just supporting tech, you\’re keeping businesses running.
What you\’ll do

  • Take immediate action on system alerts and support tickets to minimise downtime

  • Implement system changes safely within strict change controls

  • Lead or support Major Incident Management – including incident coordination and comms

  • Investigate root causes, spot trends, and recommend service improvements

  • Keep accurate records and audit trails using ticketing tools

  • Proactively monitor system health and performance

What you\’ll bring

Must-haves:

  • A problem-solver\’s mindset with a strong sense of ownership

  • Proficiency in SQL (complex queries) and/or Unix (command-line competence)

  • Strong communication and client relationship skills

  • Fluent in English with solid Microsoft Office skills
