The Compliance Manager role is a pivotal position that sits within our second line of defence function (2LOD) and has primary responsibility for a wide range of compliance and risk areas under the Payment Services Regulations 2017 (PSRs) and Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (EMRs). The Compliance Manager will be responsible for owning designated conduct risk frameworks, developing compliance policies and processes, submitting regulatory reports and providing regulatory advice.

Key Working Relationships
- External: Agents, FCA and any other competent authorities
- Internal: Edenred Business Units / EPS including Service Managers, Agent Oversight, Finance, Risk Management, Audit
Key Responsibilities
- Provide regulatory advice on requirements under the PSRs, EMRs and related FCA guidance.
- Monitor implementation of the firm's Compliance Monitoring Programme and ensure it meets regulatory requirements.
- Implement the firm's Consumer Duty framework which includes analysis of conduct risk MI from different internal and external sources, review of consumer duty assessments prepared by Agents and preparation of annual Consumer Duty outcomes testing board report.
- Develop compliance frameworks and conduct compliance assurance reviews across key conduct risk and prudential risk areas such as complaints handling, financial promotions, treatment of vulnerable customers, account management, governance, safeguarding and regulatory capital adequacy.
- Prepare annual compliance assurance reports for review by firm's governance committees.
- Identify areas of improvement in compliance processes internally and at Agent level and monitor implementation of action points.
- Prepare and submit regulatory returns and lead preparation of responses to FCA information requests.
- Prepare periodic briefing packs for various governance committees and present findings and action points across key compliance areas at various forums.
- Conduct horizon scanning to monitor regulatory developments and identify key changes that have an impact on the firm's business.
- Prepare and circulate reports on relevant regulatory changes to concerned internal stakeholders.
- Undertake cross-functional collaboration with internal teams such as Finance, Agent Oversight, Product Business, Service Management, Sales, Legal and Risk to lead delivery of compliance projects.
- Lead development of compliance processes and draft policies, processes and client guidance documents across all regulatory compliance areas.
Skills & Behaviours
- Role Specific: At least five years experience in a regulatory consulting practice or regulated payment or financial services organization. Deep understanding and awareness of FCA compliance requirements and extensive experience in implementation of FCA compliance frameworks; payments services or banking regulatory experience is a plus. Experience in managing and implementing control frameworks. Proven experience in implementing and reviewing processes and controls and identifying weaknesses. Excellent communication skills. Flexibility to rapidly understand complex problems and rationalise these into workable solutions for the firm and its clients. Experience of working under pressure in an ever changing and challenging environment. Proven experience and strong competency in relationship management. Experience in guiding and training junior team members. Any relevant compliance certification is a plus.
