We at Edenred Paytech are looking for an experienced Postgres DBA to join our in-house database team to support our database estate and help energise our Cloud Adoption journey.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and supporting Postgres and Oracle Database solutions, with experience migrating high-performance, mission-critical Oracle Database workloads to Aurora Postgres. We seek an individual who enjoys a fast-paced environment, can prioritize workload, and work independently.

The position requires hands-on technical expertise and strong collaboration with developers, architects, and DevOps teams to ensure our data infrastructure aligns with business needs and industry standards.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage, configure, and optimize PostgreSQL databases hosted on Amazon Aurora and Oracle databases on on-premise Exadatas and AWS RDS.
- Support the migration of high-performance, mission-critical databases from on-premise Exadatas to AWS Aurora Postgres.
- Support workloads on other database engines in AWS, including MySQL, MariaDB, and SQL Server.
- Implement and maintain security standards to ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other regulations.
- Implement security best practices, including user management, encryption, and auditing.
- Design and implement database schemas, partitioning strategies, and indexing solutions.
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and scalability of database systems.
- Configure monitoring and management tools to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in real time.
Your Profile
- Hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL and Oracle DBA in production environments.
- Significant experience migrating database workloads from Oracle to Postgres.
- Deep understanding of PostgreSQL architecture, including replication, clustering, indexing strategies, and the vacuum/MVCC process.
- Proven experience in query optimization and database performance tuning.
- Experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM.
- Solid understanding of database security principles and compliance frameworks.
- Experience implementing backup and recovery strategies.
- Proficiency with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar.
- Experience with database replication tools such as AWS DMS and Goldengate.
- Experience collaborating with DevOps teams to integrate databases into CI/CD pipelines and IaC frameworks like Terraform.
