The Studio

Our client a small independent branding studio are looking for a Design Director to join the team.

This is a well -established branding agency working across a wide variety of projects for prestige brands in the real estate/hospitality space.

Brand is at the heart of everything this agency does, they are insight led and work closely with clients to connect them to their audiences.

They have a high level of design craft producing inspiring, beautiful and effective creative solutions.

The Opportunity

As Design Director you will help set the creative tone and standards within the agency, inspire and influence agency culture and lead and nurture the small design team.

As a small studio this role will require a hands- on approach too and so we are looking for someone who is a real team player, passionate and committed to delivering the best possible work.

This role could suit a DD/Creative Lead looking to step up and into a slightly more managerial role where there is lots of opportunity and career progression.

First and fore-most we are looking for an inspirational creative skilled in delivering brand identity projects with gravitas and the ability to lead and inspire a small design team.

What we are looking for

  • At-least seven years commercial experience working for a creative/brand agency.
  • Experience and confidence owning and leading projects and presenting creative ideas both internally and externally with clients.
  • Experience managing brand projects in the property or hospitality space.
  • The ability to deliver well thought through solutions with clear rationale.
  • A high level of craftmanship.
  • Experience arranging and leading creative sessions and encouraging a team to explore and develop new concepts and ideas.
  • A natural people person with experience mentoring and guiding designers.
  • Confidence driving projects forwards whilst motivating the team and maintaining momentum.
  • A positive attitude to tackle demanding objectives with enthusiasm.
  • Authority in decision making and experience delegating work appropriately to others.
  • Drive, determination and commitment to achieve creative excellence.
