Edenbrook are currently partnering with a leading Specialty Insurer within the Lloyd's Market on a Head of Capital hire.
Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Capital team, including resource planning, performance, and staff development.
Oversee the maintenance, development, and validation of the internal capital model, ensuring it remains fit for purpose.
Produce and deliver capital modelling outputs and regulatory reporting (e. g.
SCR, ORSA, reserve ranges, risk distributions) within agreed deadlines.
Collaborate with underwriting, pricing, reserving, finance, claims, reinsurance, and risk teams to support capital modelling and decision-making.
Present capital insights and recommendations to senior leadership and governance committees.
Maintain model documentation, governance, and change controls.
Conduct annual peer review of best estimate reserves to ensure consistency with capital model assumptions.
