You will operate as a trusted partner to executive leadership, working at the intersection of finance, actuarial insight and commercial strategy to deliver measurable outcomes.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Driving financial performance across underwriting, pricing, reserving, reinsurance, investments and capital
- Leading reinsurance and investment committees, ensuring strong governance, challenge and decision‑making
- Developing and delivering reinsurance and investment strategies aligned to growth and profitability objectives
- Translating complex actuarial and financial insight into clear actions, metrics and executive‑level recommendations
- Providing deep analysis of reserving positions and capital optimisation opportunities
- Partnering closely with underwriting, pricing, actuarial and senior finance stakeholders
- Producing insightful competitor analysis to identify strengths, risks and opportunities
- Supporting senior leadership with clear plans, performance monitoring and strategic insight
What You’ll Bring
- Qualified accountant with circa 7-10 years’ post‑qualification experience
- Strong understanding of insurance underwriting profitability and performance
- In‑depth knowledge of reinsurance structures, investment accounting and capital management
- Solid grasp of actuarial reserving outputs and their impact on financial performance
- Experience operating within a Solvency II environment
- Ability to influence and challenge at senior leadership level
