We are currently partnering with a market-leading London Market Insurer to recruit a Solution Architect. The successful candidate will provide architectural leadership to the international team as the liaison with US counterparts, taking responsibility for the delivery of business solutions and architecture initiatives in alignment with technology design best practices and international standards.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support with creating current and future state architecture roadmaps, performing gap analysis, and recommending initiatives to address gaps.
  • Support strategic planning, project scoping, and business case development for initiatives.
  • Provide expert knowledge of the insurance industry, including business processes and system functionality for multinational operations.
  • Serve as Innovation Architect, identifying and delivering Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to explore new ways of working.
  • Act as project design authority, ensuring architecture specifications align with enterprise business objectives.
  • Coordinate solution designs across data, application, infrastructure, and business process domains.
  • Document application environments, data flows, and support processes comprehensively.
  • Advise development teams on best practices for building efficient, scalable, and reusable system components.
  • Ensure integration between business systems and datasets is logical, secure, and compliant with IT, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain industry and technology knowledge to drive innovation, governance, and adherence to architecture principles and standards.

The ideal candidate:

  • 10+ years of technology experience preferably in the Lloyd’s Insurance Market.
  • 5+ years of enterprise or solution architecture experience.
  • Broad expertise in application, integration, data, and infrastructure architecture, with deep insights into application and data domains.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify short-term deliverables and tactical solutions to support roadmap implementation.
  • Experienced across multiple software development and project delivery methodologies.
