We are working with a leading MGA seeking a Senior Underwriter – Professional Indemnity. This role is with a growing and well-backed MGA to help shape and expand its Specialty portfolio. This is a highly visible, market-facing role offering genuine autonomy, strong broker engagement, and the opportunity to influence underwriting strategy.
You’ll underwrite new and renewal PI risks while developing and managing a profitable portfolio. Alongside trading responsibilities, you’ll build strong broker partnerships and play a key role in identifying new business opportunities.
The core responsibilities of this role are to:
- Underwrite Professional Indemnity risks across new and renewal business
- Build and grow broker relationships across your region
- Negotiate terms and structure profitable solutions
- Manage portfolio performance and identify growth opportunities
- Support colleagues with technical guidance and mentoring
- Contribute insight to underwriting strategy and market development
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong Professional Indemnity or Professional Lines underwriting experience
- Proven track record building broker relationships and generating profitable business
- Confident trading and negotiation skills
- Commercially aware with strong technical underwriting knowledge
- DIP CII (or working towards) desirable
