We are working with a leading UK digital insurance provider who are seeking a Senior Group Financial & Regulatory Reporting Accountant to join their Group Finance team, based in London on a hybrid working basis. This is a high-impact position supporting external financial and regulatory reporting, with a particular focus on IFRS 17 and technical accounting. The successful candidate will also play a pivotal role in audit coordination, governance, and leadership of key finance transformation initiatives. Responsibilities:
- Own the coordination of external audit across the group finance and wider business.
- Provide IFRS technical accounting guidance, with emphasis on IFRS 17, to internal stakeholders.
- Co-lead the preparation of loan covenant certification and reporting to the Group’s lending syndicate.
- Oversee production of climate-related disclosures aligned with regulatory standards.
- Ensure robust financial controls and best-practice reporting environments are maintained.
- Deliver technical accounting projects and draft related memos and board discussion papers.
- Support month-end close processes, preparation of quarterly results, and reporting to the audit committee.
Ideal Candidate:
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Strong technical accounting background with demonstrable IFRS 17 experience.
- Previous experience in a Big 4 technical advisory team or UK-listed insurance firm preferred.
- Proven ability to lead on complex financial reporting and transformation projects.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members.
