An established insurance organisation is seeking a Senior Reinsurance Technician – Credit Control to support its Outwards Reinsurance Operations function. The role focuses on managing reinsurance debt positions, ensuring timely settlement of premiums and recoveries, and maintaining accurate records within the reinsurance system.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reinsurance debtor and creditor balances to minimise aged debt.
- Issue collection notes, statements, and supporting documentation to brokers and reinsurers.
- Liaise with brokers to support timely collections and settlements.
- Process LORS and direct settlements, including non-cash items.
- Work closely with finance, operations, and internal stakeholders.
- Produce regular credit control and aged debt reports.
- Ensure all activities comply with relevant regulatory standards.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in reinsurance credit control and recoveries.
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s reinsurance processes and reporting preferred.
- Experience with reinsurance systems (e.g. Global XL Pro) desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Confident communicator with good stakeholder management skills.
