Senior Claims Adjuster – Casualty (6 Month Contract)

Key responsibilities include:

• Proactively handling lead and agreement party claims from first advice to settlement to ensure delivery of the company\’s claim commitment and achieve good outcomes.
• Fostering good relationships with policyholders, brokers, underwriters and reinsurers, and drive excellent customer service.
• Ensuring that there is prompt and accurate reserving, identifying and pursuing relevant third‑party recoveries and salvage opportunities.
• Strong ability to prioritise where necessary, identifying deadlines stipulated by lawsuits, demand letters and claims queries.
• Actively participating in client meetings and market meetings, representing the Company and delivering on the claims proposition.
• Working closely with underwriters to build out claims proposition in support of growth in underwriting class.
• Working closely with underwriters providing feedback on claims issues, trends and market intelligence.
• Identify and escalated claims‑related issues where necessary and providing support, as required.

The right candidate should have:

• A sound understanding of the Casualty insurance sector.
• Experience in handling Casualty claims.
• Previous experience of insurance products as either a claims handler/broker.
• Strong understanding of Casualty policy wordings.
• Sound computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel and use of ECF/DOCOSoft an advantage.
• Excellent communication skills, including ability to credibly engage with clients, third parties or internal stakeholders.
