Edenbrook are partnering with a leading Lloyd's Insurer in the search for a Portfolio Underwriting Analyst to join a high-performing Underwriting Performance function. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytically minded insurance professional to play a key role in supporting portfolio oversight, underwriting performance analysis, and strategic decision-making across a diverse Lloyd's and London Market portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the analysis and monitoring of underwriting portfolio performance across multiple classes of business.
  • Analyse key performance indicators including premium growth, loss ratios, combined ratios, rate change, exposure metrics, and profitability trends.
  • Assist in identifying portfolio performance issues, emerging risks, and opportunities for portfolio optimisation.
  • Support underwriting teams through the provision of data-driven insight and performance analysis.
  • Contribute to portfolio reviews, business planning exercises, and capacity allocation discussions.
  • Assist in monitoring delegated authority and MGA performance, including KPI tracking and portfolio reporting where required.
  • Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, finance, claims, exposure management, and operations teams to ensure consistency of portfolio reporting and performance assessment.
  • Support the development and enhancement of portfolio management dashboards, reporting tools, and MI processes.
  • Help improve data quality, reporting efficiency, and analytical capabilities across the portfolio management function.
