We’re looking for an experienced Operational Resilience & Business Continuity Manager to take ownership of a firm-wide resilience framework within a leading Lloyd’s market insurer. This is a high-impact role where you’ll shape, implement and continuously enhance operational resilience, ensuring the business can respond to and recover from disruption while meeting evolving regulatory expectations. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, playing a key role in protecting customers, operations and long-term performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of Operational Resilience and Business Continuity frameworks
  • Own and drive Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) across critical business services
  • Chair governance forums, ensuring clear oversight, actions, and escalation of risks
  • Plan and deliver scenario-based and live resilience testing, translating insights into improvements
  • Act as the central coordinator for major incidents and crisis events
  • Support senior leadership with timely decision-making during high-pressure situations
  • Maintain and evolve crisis management plans and playbooks
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and embed lessons learned
  • Partner with Information Security teams to align cyber resilience with business continuity
  • Oversee resilience considerations across third-party and outsourced providers
  • Ensure critical dependencies are mapped and incorporated into resilience strategies
  • Oversee physical security and site resilience arrangements
  • Work with Facilities teams to manage workplace risks and emergency preparedness
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations (e.g. FCA/PRA, Operational Resilience policy, ISO standards)
  • Deliver clear and insightful reporting to senior stakeholders

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum 3 years proven experience in Operational Resilience, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery within a regulated environment
  • Strong understanding of UK regulatory frameworks and industry standards (e.g. FCA/PRA, ISO 22301)
  • Experience leading incident and crisis management responses
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
  • Experience working with third-party risk and outsourced service resilience
