We are working with a specialist insurer seeking an experienced Treasury Director to build and lead a high-impact treasury function during an exciting phase of international growth. This is a unique opportunity to create and shape a treasury capability from the ground up, rather than inherit an established structure. Reporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of treasury strategy and operations across a fast-growing, multi-jurisdictional business. The role sits close to the commercial core of the organisation, with responsibility for managing cash, liquidity, and financial risk while supporting ongoing global expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the group treasury function, including oversight of cash and liquidity management
- Own and manage banking relationships, funding requirements, and debt obligations
- Oversee foreign exchange exposure and implement appropriate risk management strategies
- Manage premium flows and working capital across multiple jurisdictions
- Enhance cash forecasting, reporting, and visibility of global cash positions
- Establish and improve treasury controls, governance, and processes
- Partner with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives
- Build, mentor, and lead a small, high-performing treasury team
Key Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a senior treasury leadership role
- Strong expertise in cash management, liquidity, banking, and treasury strategy
- Experience operating in complex, multi-entity and multi-currency environments
- Commercially minded with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders
- Hands-on approach with the ability to build and scale processes from scratch
- Background in insurance or financial services is preferred
- Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ACT or equivalent
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
