We are currently hiring for a Senior Reinsurance Technician in our London office to provide senior operational support to our Ceded Reinsurance function, managing complex programmes, claims analysis, premium calculations and recoveries while ensuring post-placement activities are completed accurately and efficiently.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Reinsurance Programme Management: Oversee and manage Excess of Loss reinsurance contracts, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all activities.
  • Premiums and Financial Calculations: Produce premium adjustment statements, calculate QPD returns and monitor aged debt to support financial integrity and reporting.
  • Claims and Recoveries Oversight: Identify recoverable claims, issue settlement requests and support facultative recovery processes.
  • Stakeholder & Broker Engagement: Liaise with underwriters, finance, claims teams, brokers and reinsurers to ensure effective communication and delivery.
  • Systems & Process Improvement: Maintain contract data across systems and contribute to reporting, controls, projects and new system implementations.

What We’re Looking For

  • Reinsurance Expertise: Strong understanding of ceded reinsurance operations within the Lloyd’s and London Market.
  • Proven Experience: Significant experience in a ceded reinsurance role, with exposure to both Lloyd’s and non-Lloyd’s environments beneficial.
  • Technical Capability: Good working knowledge of reinsurance systems such as Subscribe, Senator and XLRAS, alongside Microsoft Office tools.
  • Leadership & Communication: Ability to lead, influence and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborative & Accountable Mindset: A proactive, collaborative approach with a focus on continuous learning, innovation and accountability.
