We are currently partnering with a Leading Global Specialty Insurance organisation to recruit a Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst. The successful candidate will play a key role within the Finance function, supporting business performance reporting, strategic planning, and financial insight delivery across multiple product lines.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the monthly Business Performance Pack, including detailed analysis and commentary.
- Consolidate financial performance across multiple product lines and articulate the financial narrative to senior management, highlighting key drivers and emerging trends.
- Liaise with Commercial Finance Directors to understand performance, standardise reporting, and ensure consistency across trading teams.
- Collaborate closely with Financial Control to gain transparency over monthly ledger postings, including payroll journals and accruals.
- Analyse exceptional spend and ensure correct allocation to relevant business units and project codes.
- Support the preparation of annual budgets, quarterly reforecasts, and longâterm financial plans.
- Assist with M&A-related analysis, including monitoring and evaluating postâacquisition performance.
- Deliver ad hoc financial analysis to support trading decisions and identify costâsaving opportunities.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the FP&A team to drive continuous improvement in reporting and planning processes.
Qualifications
- A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
- At least two years' experience within FP&A or Commercial Finance.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear insights.
- Excellent attention to detail, while maintaining the ability to see the bigger picture and challenge assumptions.
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong Excel skills and experience working with financial systems and reporting tools.
- A proactive, ambitious mindset with a desire to drive improvement and add value.
- The ability to manage conflicting priorities and perform effectively in a fastâpaced, deadlineâdriven environment.
