About the Role We are looking for an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join a high-performing actuarial and analytics team supporting pensions, bulk annuities and the wider retirement insurance market.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analyst with strong pensions experience, particularly in GMP Equalisation and Rectification, who is looking to apply their technical modelling and analytical skills within the retirement insurance and reinsurance market.

Key Responsibilities• Lead and deliver complex actuarial modelling and analytical projects across pension and retirement insurance portfolios.

  • Analyse pension benefits, large datasets and member-level calculations to produce accurate actuarial outputs.
  • Develop and enhance Excel/VBA models and analytical processes.
  • Perform detailed data validation and quality checks across complex datasets and models.
  • Manage multiple analytical workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs to demanding deadlines.
  • Communicate quantitative findings clearly to clients, stakeholders and wider project teams.
  • Support the development of actuarial models and processes for bulk annuity and reinsurance projects.
  • Apply quantitative and predictive modelling techniques to insurance and retirement risk.

About You The ideal candidate will have:• Experience in pensions consulting, GMP Equalisation, Rectification or related actuarial work.

  • Strong experience developing and reviewing complex Excel/VBA models.
  • Experience analysing pension benefits and validating large datasets.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple technical workstreams.
  • Progress towards actuarial qualification, with relevant IFo A modules passed.
  • A First-Class Mathematics degree and/or postgraduate qualification in a quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with R, statistical modelling or machine-learning techniques would be advantageous.
