Head of Financial Reporting
Overview
We are hiring an experienced Head of Financial Reporting to lead all statutory, regulatory, and group financial reporting activities across a complex, regulated insurance environment. This senior leadership role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of financial information to regulators, boards, auditors, and group stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead statutory, regulatory, and group financial reporting.
- Oversee financial statement preparation under UK and US GAAP.
- Manage regulatory submissions and compliance requirements.
- Lead audit engagements and technical accounting matters.
- Drive financial controls, governance, and reporting improvements.
- Manage reporting timetables and stakeholder communications.
- Lead and develop a high-performing financial reporting team.
- Support finance transformation, automation, and strategic projects.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
- Significant experience in senior financial reporting roles within insurance or financial services.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge, including UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Experience managing audits, regulatory reporting, and group consolidations.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
