We are currently partnering with a rapidly growing Lloyd’s Insurer to recruit a Finance Transformation Manager. The role combines operational management of the Phinsys platform and financial close processes with strategic leadership of finance transformation initiatives, including developing transformation roadmaps, driving system and process improvements, and aligning financial operations with broader business objectives.
Key responsibilities:
- Support and manage financial close processes for data-intensive deliverables using the Phinsys system and End User Computing solutions, including spreadsheets.
- Coordinate and oversee all Phinsys data input and output activities, ensuring processes operate efficiently, accurately, and reliably.
- Manage Active Directory user setup, access controls, and ongoing system administration activities for finance applications.
- Drive and monitor the timetable for Phinsys inputs from key source data providers to ensure timely financial close delivery.
- Implement, maintain, and optimise finance processes and system configurations that support Phinsys operations and reporting.
- Lead system enhancements, releases, testing, reconciliations, issue management, integrations, and small change activities in collaboration with IT and stakeholders.
- Act as the key liaison for audits, vendor management, support ticket oversight, service credits, procurement negotiations, and quarter-end Phinsys support arrangements.
- Provide day-to-day user support, training, documentation, and specialist expertise on finance systems, reporting processes, and business operations.
- Collaborate with Finance, IT, Change Management, Data, Reserving, Reinsurance, and Underwriting teams to ensure business requirements are captured and translated into effective solutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across financial reporting, systems, processes, policies, and operational procedures.
- Support and lead finance transformation initiatives including Phinsys Phase 3C, Power BI, automation, artificial intelligence, and other strategic transformation programmes.
- Develop finance transformation roadmaps, assess change impacts, and support adoption through leadership, communication, training, and stakeholder engagement activities.
The ideal candidate should have but not limited to:
- Insurance industry background (London Market).
- Strong experience delivering transformation programmes with Phinsys.
- Significant experience in accounting, finance systems and finance transformations.
- Background managing large volumes of data using a system either in a systems role or as part of a finance role where you have acted as the subject matter expert for the team.
