An exciting opportunity with a Global Insurer has arisen for a finance professional to lead the end-to-end production of financial reporting within a growing Reporting Centre of Excellence. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, brings strategic insight to complex challenges, and is passionate about driving operational excellence across a diverse and evolving finance function.
As Senior Manager, you’ll take ownership of corporate, statutory and regulatory reporting frameworks, leading a high-performing team of qualified and part-qualified accountants. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of reporting processes, influencing transformation programmes, and fostering strong relationships across Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Legal and other key stakeholder groups.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and deliver accurate Group, Statutory, Regulatory and market-specific financial reports to required deadlines.
- Design, build and continuously enhance the reporting and operational framework to meet evolving internal and external needs.
- Manage, coach and develop a high-performing finance team, driving a culture of accountability, growth and continuous improvement.
- Champion process optimisation and automation initiatives to improve efficiency, scalability and reporting insight.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to align reporting requirements, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Support transformation programmes, helping to shape the long-term direction of the Reporting Centre of Excellence.
- Monitor changes in accounting and regulatory frameworks and ensure reporting remains fully compliant.
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience.
- Strong background in insurance accounting and industry reporting, ideally including Lloyd’s or similar insurance environments.
- Proven track record of leading, motivating and developing finance teams.
- Expertise in UK GAAP, IFRS, and regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II or equivalent.
- Comfortable navigating complex stakeholder groups and influencing at senior levels.
- Naturally curious, solutions-driven, and passionate about improving reporting quality and operational efficiency.
- Experience using modern financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, SAP, TM1, Workday or similar).
