Edenbrook are working with a Lloyd's Specialty Insurer on a Corporate Accountant opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cost accounting and reporting for the technology department and global projects.
- Oversee fixed asset registers, including capitalisation, additions, depreciation, and reconciliations.
- Manage monthly prepayment adjustments.
- Work with project managers and accounts payable to ensure accurate cost recording, in line with company policies.
- Assist with monthly close routines, tax accounting/reporting, and reconciliations for Hamilton service companies.
- Support SOX compliance for the Corporate Finance team.
- Help the Head of Global Expense Planning with IT cost forecasting, planning, and analysis.
- Prepare monthly reports, commentary, and presentations on IT costs for management and committees.
- Assist with ad hoc projects for the Head of Global Expense Planning and IT management.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience in project/fixed asset accounting (preferably IT) and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Proficient in accounting systems (SUN is a plus).
- Strong Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
- Accounting qualification.
- Numeric degree is a plus, but not required.
- Cost recharge experience is a plus, but not required.
