Insurance Recruitment Specialist – Risk Management, Audit & Controls

Edenbrook are partnering with a Leading Global Insurance broker on a Client Money Assistant opportunity. The individual will ensure the business has the appropriate processes and controls in place to ensure CASS compliance with FCA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support weekly Client Money Calculations (CMC) for all UK-managed entities
  • Log and follow up on CASS breaches in line with regulations
  • Monitor client money balances and flag unusual changes or trends
  • Help coordinate and track CASS training for relevant staff
  • Assist with CASS audits, including gathering information and preparing responses
  • Contribute to ongoing projects aimed at improving client money processes and controls (e.g., policies, third-party funds, Appointed Representatives)
  • Collaborate with teams such as IBA, Treasury, and Compliance to maintain effective working relationships
  • Support system reviews and input to CMC processes
  • Stay up to date with changes to CASS rules and FCA expectations
  • Provide ad hoc assistance to the Client Money Manager as needed

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong academic background
  • Solid understanding of insurance market practices and terminology
  • Clear knowledge of FCA CASS 5 regulations

Experience

  • Preferably from a finance or IBA role within the insurance sector
  • Hands-on experience with CASS 5 implementation
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative approach
  • Strong system and management information (MI) experience is a plus
