We are seeking a Senior Financial Technical Accountant for a 6-month contract to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across insurance-related activities. You will own key technical accounting areas, delivering clear analysis and insights to internal and group stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce MI and Board reporting packs with clear financial insights
- Deliver variance analysis and investigate key movements
- Own reconciliations, ensuring issues are resolved and documented
- Support technical accounting, reporting, and finance projects
- Partner with finance and wider business teams to explain results
- Support process improvements, controls, and audit requirements
Skills & Experience
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), ideally Big 4 trained.
- Insurance experience preferred
- Strong technical accounting (IFRS/UK GAAP)
- Experience with reporting, reconciliations, and audit support
- Strong analytical and communication skills
