Edenbrook are partnering with a top performing Lloyd's Syndicate on a Risk Manager opportunity. The Risk Manager will support the Head of Risk in embedding and enhancing the Risk Management Framework, providing clear, commercial and forward-looking oversight to identify, assess and report key risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and support strategic objectives within the second line of defence.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Risk Management Framework: Support the Head of Risk in maintaining and enhancing the Risk Management Framework, promoting risk awareness, training, and effective risk ownership across the business.
  • Risk Reporting: Coordinate and deliver high-quality risk reporting and documentation for internal and external stakeholders, including committees and working groups.
  • Risk and Control Registers / RCSA: Maintain accurate and current risk and control registers, facilitate the RCSA process, and ensure risks, controls and emerging issues are appropriately assessed, documented and tested.
  • Risk Events and Policies: Lead the risk event reporting process and support the maintenance and development of risk policies and procedures.
  • Risk Appetite, KRIs and Emerging Risks: Support the development, monitoring and refinement of risk appetite, tolerances and key risk indicators, and contribute to emerging risk identification, including deep-dive assessments.
  • Scenario Analysis and Stress Testing: Embed and manage operational risk scenario analysis and stress testing processes to support capital, solvency and internal model requirements.
  • ORSA and Business Planning: Manage ORSA processes and reporting, and support risk input into business planning, including preparation of the Risk Opinion.
  • Internal Model, Validation and Assurance: Support governance, validation and assurance of internal and external models, including technical and non-technical testing and the closure of validation actions.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Ensure compliance with UK risk management requirements and support effective engagement with regulators on risk-related matters.
