Financial Crime Manager in City of London

Financial Crime Manager opportunity working with a well-established, top performing specialty insurer operating within the Lloyd’s market. You will have a key focus on maintaining, enhancing and implementing financial crime policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring controls comply with relevant UK, international and European laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Financial Crime and Licensing Governance framework, driving enhancements and ensuring robust controls.
• Provide senior management and Committee oversight of key financial crime and regulatory risks, including escalation and remediation.
• Lead annual financial crime risk assessments, policy and procedure reviews, high-risk business approvals, MI and Committee reporting.
• Oversee key financial crime controls, including segregation of duties, Gifts & Entertainment, and other monitoring activities.
• Maintain regulatory awareness through horizon scanning, impact assessments and communication of emerging financial crime and licensing risks.
• Oversee annual and bespoke financial crime training, ensuring content remains current and relevant.
• Manage, coach and develop the Financial Crime team, ensuring strong technical knowledge across all financial crime pillars and relevant licensing requirements.
• Support regulatory returns, regulatory relationships, business queries, financial crime projects and wider International Compliance activities.

Key Skills and Experience:

• 6+ years’ experience in financial crime in the Lloyd’s / London Market.
• Strong knowledge of UK, EU, US and UN sanctions in the (re)insurance sector.
