Company Secretarial Trainee opportunity working with a rapidly growing Lloyd’s MGA. You will support the preparation and distribution of board and committee papers, maintain statutory registers, and assist with regulatory filings.
You will be provided full support towards a recognised professional qualification in governance, alongside mentoring and clear progression opportunities within the Company Secretariat function.
The role reports directly to the Company Secretary and involves close collaboration with senior executives, board directors, and committee chairs and members.
Key Responsibilities
- Support board and committee meetings, including preparation and circulation of packs, agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions
- Assist with meeting administration such as diary management and paper collation
- Support statutory compliance across group entities, including maintaining records and regulatory filings
- Maintain group structure information and support periodic reporting
- Assist with governance portal administration and ESG reporting
Skills and Experience
- At least one year’s experience in a company secretarial or governance environment, supporting the Company Secretarial function
- Experience drafting accurate meeting minutes and preparing statutory and regulatory filings
- Strong organisational, time management, and diary coordination skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and confidence handling and formatting documentation
- Proactive, flexible team player with a willingness to learn and a “can-do” attitude
