At Eden Valley Hospice and Jigsaw Cumbria’s Children’s Hospice, we are looking for dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our caring and supportive clinical team, helping to deliver high-quality care to adults with life‑limiting conditions.

About the Role

Working as part of a skilled multi‑disciplinary team and under the guidance of a Registered Nurse, on our adult inpatient unit you will:

  • Provide high‑quality, compassionate, and person‑centred care
  • Support patients with complex health needs in a safe, comfortable, and homely environment
  • Build meaningful relationships with patients and families, offering empathy and reassurance
  • Assist with a range of clinical and supportive tasks to enhance patient wellbeing and experience

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Have experience working in a healthcare or care setting
  • Hold an NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Are kind, compassionate, and respectful in their approach
  • Have strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Are motivated to learn and develop new skills, including specialist clinical competencies

Experience in palliative or complex care is desirable but not essential.

Permanent Salary: £25,417.00 FTE p.a. with opportunity for pay progression up to £27,033.07 FTE p.a, subject to competencies and performance. (Plus shift enhancements) FTE based on Hospice FTE of 37.5 hours per week.
