Technical Business Analyst - London - Hybrid - £45k - £50k - FTC
My client is looking for a Technical Process & Systems Business Analyst with the gravitas to engage business teams and the technical depth to bridge operational processes with underlying software architecture. You won't just be taking passive requirements, you will actively map end-to-end systems, redesign flawed processes, and establish the framework to evaluate where emerging technologies like AI genuinely add value versus simpler automation or process fixes.
Role

Process & Systems Architecture: Document current-state ("as-is") operational workflows across diverse business units, mapping business activities directly to application architectures, data flows, and system integrations .

Process Redesign & Optimization: Identify operational bottlenecks, manual workarounds, and data gaps to design streamlined, scalable "to-be" processes .

Pragmatic AI & Technology Evaluation: Establish a structured feasibility framework to evaluate prospective AI and automation use cases-determining ROI, risk, and technical suitability before recommending AI, standard logic, or a simple process change.

Bridge Business & Tech: Translate complex business challenges into precise technical requirements, process flows, and system specifications for engineering and platform delivery teams .
Experience

Strong track record as a Technical Systems Analyst, Process BA, or Target Operating Model (TOM) BA in complex enterprise environments .

Proven expertise in process architecture, end-to-end workflow mapping, and linking business operations to underlying IT infrastructure .

Commercial discipline and systems thinking-ability to evaluate tech pragmatically without getting distracted by AI buzzwords.

Gravitas, tenacity, and exceptional communication skills to walk into operational business units, build credibility, and challenge traditional ways of working .
This role is a hybrid model and will require candidates to be onsite in Central London a 3 days a week.
