The Opportunity
As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll work at the intersection of data, AI, and product development, delivering actionable insights and building scalable models that power real-world applications. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders, playing a key role in both discovery and delivery of data-driven solutions.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Data & Insight
- Analyse complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and business drivers
- Translate insights into clear, compelling narratives and visualisations
- Identify opportunities to apply AI across products and services
- Model Development
- Design, build, and validate machine learning models
- Develop modelling inputs for AI pipelines and platforms
- Implement robust evaluation methods (A/B testing, causal analysis)
- Ensure models are explainable, ethical, and production-ready
- Collaboration & Delivery
- Work with data engineers to optimise data pipelines and quality
- Support deployment and monitoring of models in production
- Partner with stakeholders to embed data-driven decision-making
What We’re Looking For:
Essential:
- Strong experience with Python, SQL, and data analysis
- Solid background in statistical modelling & machine learning
- Proven experience building and deploying models end-to-end
- Strong problem-solving mindset with a pragmatic approach
- PhD in a relevant field (Data Science, Statistics, etc.) or commercial equivalent
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with MLOps and production environments
- Exposure to energy, utilities, or telecoms data
