Storeman
Aberdeen
Salary: Up to £35,000
Hours: 0800 to 1700 (Monday to Friday)
Reports to: Wind Farm Site Supervisor and O&M Manager
Eden Scott are pleased to be supporting their Offshore Wind Client with the appointment of a Storeman to join the Operations and Maintenance team based from their Aberdeen office. This position will include a mixture of onshore and offshore work.
Position Summary
The Storeman primary role is to ensure all Wind Farm spare parts, tools, rigging, PPE and other equipment is inventoried and stored safely, is registered and maintained in good order and with appropriate certification/documentation packs. Equipment is stored in the Aberdeen harbour warehouse, the quayside storage area, a substation at Cove, an open storage facility in Marywell and a further undercover storage area at Edzel. The storeman will also be responsible for supervising any offloading or loading of equipment at any of the storage facilities or mobilisation ports required for projects in support of wind farm operations.
It will be necessary to work closely with the Operations and Maintenance Team to ensure they have all the spare parts, PPE, rigging and other equipment required to undertake their duties.
Additional responsibilities include general upkeep of the warehouse and storage areas as required to meet the needs of a busy Operations and Maintenance Department.
Key Deliverables and Responsibilities
• Maintain the wind farm inventory.
• Request stock to replace items used or when quantities fall below minimum levels.
• Maintain the rigging and PPE registers, ensuring certification is in date and arranging
recertification when required.
•Supervising and assisting with any deliveries, loading or offloading of equipment.
•Assist the O&M team with their duties as required, including driving the van and forklift,
delivering items to CTV berth or other facilities.
• Undergo training in marine coordination to be able to provide basic, temporary cover for
absence or holiday of marine coordinators (no prior knowledge required and training will be
provided).
• Be able to go offshore with the O&M Technicians when required to meet the minimum, safe
manning levels on platforms (the necessary offshore training will be provided to enable going
offshore)
Requirements
- Experience working as a Storeman / Warehouse Coordination role
- Clean Drivers Licence
- Familiar with Microsoft products
