Eden Scott is delighted to be working with a Scottish Visitor Attraction located in the Central Belt of Scotland.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as Visitor Centre Manager.
The post holder will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the safe operation and management of their visitor centre, ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for their visitors. This role involves supervising staff, managing budgets, maximising revenue, coordinating events and programmes, maintaining exhibits, and fostering positive relationships with a variety of local stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
Key skills and experience required:
- You will have significant experience at a managerial level in visitor services where you have developed commercial revenue through footfall, tours, tastings, events and retail.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and empower staff.
- Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and revenue generation.
- Familiarity with relevant software applications, such as online booking systems, point-of-sale systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be able to comply with any applicable local licensing requirements, in relation selling and consuming alcohol on the site
- Ideally has or is keen to develop a strong personal interest in Scotch Whisky
Salary circa £45k to secure the senior level of candidate required for this post plus benefits.
