Eden Scott is delighted to be working with Blair Drummond Smiddy, a family run farm shop based in Blair Drummond, near Stirling. The Smiddy Farm Shop is part of the wider Blair Drummond Estate, and operated alongside Blair Drummond Caravan Park and Farm, with the shared purpose of supporting and preserving all Blair Drummond for future generations. They also work closely with Blair Drummond Safari Park, which is owned by the same family. Their award-winning mixed retail format revolves around supporting local suppliers, using their fantastic produce to create delicious food in their extensive cafe, butcher and deli. This strategy has helped them grow significantly over the past five years.
They have now created a new role and have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Hospitality to join the team at The Smiddy. This role is key to unlocking The Smiddy's next phase of growth, by translating ambition into action, and building systems that support scale. They are looking for a competent and exceptional candidate to join their team and lead several hospitality offerings across The Smiddy - currently the cafe, takeaway and bakery (but with plans for more in the future). You will report to the Managing Director, who will support you to succeed. As the second in command, it is essential you work closely with all teams and be comfortable leading on business wide initiatives. Decision making, influencing others and independence will be key. The job will require you to work full time, in a fast-paced operation putting food first in a customer led environment at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Head of Hospitality is accountable for ensuring all aspects of the commercial performance, customer experience, colleague satisfaction and operational metrics are maintained.

- Commercial Acumen - skills that will shape their Three-Year Plan, identifying the multiple commercial opportunities, and translating these into tangible and timely actions.
- The ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment - ready to roll up your sleeves but skilled at stepping back to empower others.

Excellent salary dependent on skills and experience is on offer £45,000 - £50,000 plus various company benefits including 29 days holidays and a bonus scheme of up to 10% of annual salary.
