We are supporting our client, who are leaders in their field as both the largest and longest operating within their sector, as they recruit into their tax team at Senior Manager level. Working with and reporting to an experienced Head of Tax within a company renowned for a strong team dynamic, supportive culture and the opportunity to contribute towards projects and process improvements, this really is a fantastic opportunity.
On offer is a strong base salary, annual bonus and an attractive benefits package which include a compressed working week, and perks which include on-site gym, a staff canteen and free on-site parking. Hybrid working is supported on a basis of 4 days office based, and flexibility in start and finish times.
In this highly visible role, you will:
- Work closely with the Finance business leaders and commercial partners to understand current and future business plans and to provide specialist and commercially focussed tax advice.
- Provide advisory support to the Eastern Hemisphere business including ensuring compliance representing the tax department in cross department projects.
- Provide support and guidance as needed to Tax Managers.
- Deputise for the Head of Tax in their absence.
- Manage and maintain relationships with third party advisers and work closely with the finance teams including the US tax team.
An example of duties include:
- Research tax technical points and evaluate their impact on the Group or entities.
- Lead the provision of commercially focussed tax advice to finance and commercial managers on bids, new business opportunities and other projects.
- Lead specific tax related projects.
