Due to continued growth, a leading TPA have a new role for an experienced senior client lead or pensions consultant to manage a portfolio of major Defined Benefit pension scheme clients. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong commercial awareness with deep understanding of DB pension administration and the needs of trustees and employers. Whilst the role is based from Edinburgh, they are very flexible over hybrid working arrangements and can also consider those based in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will oversee strategic relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery while driving account growth and operational excellence. They will act as a trusted adviser to senior stakeholders, guiding client strategy and identifying opportunities to enhance and expand services. Depending on level of experience, the client portfolio will be geared towards this.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the overall management of several DB pension scheme clients, ensuring service standards and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Strengthen long-term relationships with trustees, employers, and advisers.
  • Identify opportunities to broaden services and support commercial growth.
  • Oversee operational performance, ensuring accurate, compliant, and efficient administration.
  • Provide leadership to internal teams, supporting development and performance.
  • Manage financial aspects of accounts, including forecasting and commercial negotiations.
Experience & Skills
  • Extensive experience working with Defined Benefit pension schemes, including strong knowledge of administration requirements, governance, and regulatory expectations.
  • Proven track record in senior client management or account leadership roles.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience influencing revenue and profitability.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Leadership experience within a service-driven or technical environment.
