My client is a highly respected wealth management firm with an office based in Edinburgh. A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced paraplanner / senior paraplanner to join the team to support the senior planner during a period of growth. The role will be exceptionally in depth with client facing elements as and when you gain expertise.
The primary responsibilities include:
- Preparation of Suitability Reports
- Liaising with product providers to collate pension and investment information for replacement contracts
- Providing technical support to the team with paraplanning and research assistance
- Carrying out market research on behalf of the adviser prior to meetings
- Assisting in the ongoing due diligence reviews of investment funds and platforms
- Providing appropriate support to the Financial Adviser / Managing Director
To be considered, you must be an experienced paraplanner within an IFA, either having completed your exams or having made significant progress toward chartered status. Your background should include both pensions and investments with excellent report writing skills. Experience using research tools such as FE Analytics is required; knowledge of Intelligent Office is advantageous. You should be a committed, enthusiastic and flexible individual with the ability to bring new ideas to the firm, and you will have team management duties or assist less experienced members, as well as the opportunity to be part of the investment committee.
