A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced paraplanner / senior paraplanner to join a leading chartered financial advice firm in Glasgow due to continued growth. Their employees have won awards and their reputation is amongst the best in the industry. They fully support and encourage career development - whether being a "career paraplanner" or with a view to move to financial advice over the years to come.

The role will be exceptionally in depth with client facing elements as you become familiar with the firm. Primarily it will involve:

  • Preparation of Suitability Reports
  • Liaising with product providers to collate pension and investment information for replacement contracts
  • Providing technical support to the team with paraplanning and research support
  • Carrying out market research on behalf of your adviser prior to meeting
  • Assisting in the ongoing due diligence reviews of investment funds and platforms
  • Providing appropriate support to the Financial Adviser / MD

As a close knit and warm, professional business, team collaboration is key - sharing knowledge and making suggestions for improvements if applicable. To be considered, you must be an experienced Paraplanner, either having completed your exams or have made significant progress towards them (exams fully supported). Your background will include both Pensions and Investments with excellent report writing skills.

Experience of using research tools such as FE Analytics and ideally knowledge of Intelligent Office would be advantageous but not a prerequisite. Given the close knit nature of the firm, you will be a committed, enthusiastic and flexible individual with the ability to bring new ideas to the firm - all of which would be warmly received. Along with this, you could have team management duties or assist less experienced members of the team if you wish and develop internally.

In return, they are offering an excellent opportunity to develop your experience, further your career and utilise your expertise. Along with this, they will offer an attractive package, hybrid working, further study support and the chance to join them during a growing time in their history.

Please get in touch as soon as possible to discuss this role and also potentially other opportunities within the area. Send your CV / click apply now to discuss further - all applications treated in the strictest of confidence.
