My client is a highly respected wealth management firm with an office based in the centre of Edinburgh. A rare and exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced paraplanner / senior paraplanner to join the team to support the planners during a period of growth. The role will be exceptionally in depth with client facing elements as and when you gain expertise.
Primarily it will involve:
- Preparation of Suitability Reports
- Liaising with product providers to collate pension and investment information for replacement contracts
- Providing technical support to the team with paraplanning and research support
- Carrying out market research on behalf of your adviser prior to meetings
- Assisting in the ongoing due diligence reviews of investment funds and platforms
- Providing appropriate support to the Financial Adviser / MD
To be considered, you must be an experienced Paraplanner within an IFA, either having completed your exams or have made significant progress towards them. If not near chartered, an enthusiasm to complete is essential. Your background will include both Pensions and Investments with excellent report writing skills, ideally with cash flow modelling experience. Experience of using research tools such as FE Analytics and ideally knowledge of Intelligent Office or Xplan would be advantageous.
Given the close-knit nature of the firm, you will be a committed, enthusiastic and flexible individual with the ability to bring new ideas to the firm, all of which would be warmly received. Along with this, you would have team management duties or assist less experienced members of the team and have a chance to be part of their investment committee.
In return, they are offering an excellent opportunity to develop your experience, further your career and utilise your expertise. They will also offer an attractive package, further study support and the chance to join them during a growing time in their history, with opportunities for progression if desired.
