Are you an electronics engineer with solid experience in manufacturing processes and a practical approach to problem-solving? Looking for a role where you can lead improvements and production tasks in a low-volume, high reliability environment?

We’re working with a world-leading aerospace and defence technology provider located in Fife, Scotland, as they look to strengthen their Manufacturing Test Engineering team on the back of several new and exciting projects.

This role focuses on ensuring world class manufacturing processes are maintained to ensure high performance and quality across the product lifecycle in a low-volume, high-reliability manufacturing environment.

What will you be doing?

This is a key senior role in the manufacturing team, and will involve a variety of tasks, allowing you to contribute across multiple aspects of the production test process. You can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Drive improvements using Best in Class and World Class Manufacturing principles.
  • Analyse manufacturing data to identify and solve quality or performance issues.
  • Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and process optimisation efforts.
  • Collaborate with Integrated Program Teams, Engineering, and production to support NPI and manufacturability.
  • Track and report manufacturing metrics, ensuring continuous improvement against KPIs.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

  • An HND or degree in Manufacturing/Production Engineering or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes across diverse platforms.
  • Analytical, data-driven problem solver with clear communication skills.
  • Experience with SPC, process FMEA, and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
  • Proven ability to lead improvements and present technical content effectively.

Due to the security requirements of this position, candidates must have British Citizenship, Settled Status, or Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK. Additional background checks may be required.
